Dear Partners,

The President of the Republic said it with great force, we must now consider that our country is at war.
At war with a virus, Covid-19: we must slow the spread in France, Europe and worldwide.
That is why drastic measures have been taken. For a period of time, we will have to accept changing our habits, accept turning our lives upside down: it’s the only way for us to, together, slow down the epidemic, to protect our healthcare system that is already under pressure, and to overcome this unprecedented crisis.
Everyone must take part in this mobilization and all the services of the State are already at work to help our fellow citizens address this. Our embassies, our consulates, and the Crisis and Support Center of the Quai d’Orsay, who are working to provide assistance to those of our fellow citizens who are far from our country and are reaching out to us.

The President of the Republic announced the closing, for 30 days, of the external borders of the European space, meaning the European Union, the Schengen area and the United Kingdom.
Regarding the French citizens who are currently temporarily abroad outside of Europe, as our students, French ministery recommend that they take the necessary measures to return to France. They should do so with calm, patience and with a spirit of responsibility that this special time needs. To help them, French ministery have asked all airlines, specially Air France, to join this exceptional joint effort by maintaining their links open with France and moderating their prices. French ministery is also in regular contact with foreign counterparts to obtain authorization to maintain air links as possible.
I know that some of our students are in difficult, and sometimes even distressing situations. Our embassies and consulates are there by your side 24 hours a day to give them all the help they can get. The ENIT international try to be in close touch with them bay mail.

So, following on from the communiqué issued from the president of the French Republic on Tuesday, 12 March 2020, please note that:

  • Monday 16 March 2020 was the first day without face-to-face classes. ENIT is now delivering courses online
  • ENIT is closed but a skeleton staff deals with any urgent contingency
  • The international offices, in particular, will deal with any query or issue concerning international students. Students are requested to contact the international offices only by email
  • Any international exchange student who decides to return home during the time that face-to-face classes are suspended will be informed of the terms to take the courses online, but we are not able today to guarantee an access from their respective country
  • We are looking closely the case of each of our student engaged in an international exchange. We informed them to contact the international offices only by email
  • To date, there is no confirmed case of COVID-19 within our student body

We will continue to provide updates as and when the situation changes. We will also follow up with the international students now studying at our university. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at:
